Elliot Noss

Director since August 2001

As president and CEO of Tucows Inc., Elliot Noss leads the company's business strategy and vision. He is responsible for overseeing operations for the company's domain registration, domain portfolio, email and retail lines of business.

During his tenure, Tucows has grown to become the largest wholesale provider of domain names. Under Elliot's leadership, the company has rapidly expanded the wholesale service line to include email services, SSL certificates, and enhanced domain name offerings which are sold through a growing international reseller channel.

Elliot has been a leader in the Internet industry for over a decade. He champions areas of vital interest to the service providers and Internet users including privacy, ICANN reform and registrar matters, and the implications of emerging technologies.

Elliot chairs the University of Toronto's Department of Computer Science Advisory Board and is a distinguished graduate of the University of Toronto where he earned a BA. He earned an MBA and LLB from the University of Western Ontario.

Joichi Ito

Director since December 2008

Mr. Ito is currently the CEO of Creative Commons, a non-profit organization devoted to information sharing initiatives for creative works, Neoteny Co. Ltd, a venture capital firm investing in Internet technologies and services, and Kula Co., Ltd., an internet software company.

Mr. Ito is the Chairman of Six Apart Japan, a weblog software company; and serves as Director on numerous Boards including, Technorati, the preeminent search engine for blogs, Digital Garage, and Machinima.com. He also serves on the Board of The Mozilla Foundation. Mr. Ito has founded or co-founded several Internet companies, including PSINet Japan, Digital Garage and Infoseek Japan.

He has served on the board of ICANN and continues to serve on various Japanese central and local government committees and boards, advising on IT, privacy and computer security related issues. Mr. Ito has been recognized by numerous publications as an influential Internet leader. Most recently, Mr. Ito was named by BusinessWeek as one of the 25 Most Influential People on the Web for 2008.

Erez Gissin

Director since August 2001

Mr. Gissin, age 43, has been the chief executive officer of IP Planet Network Ltd., an Israeli satellite communication operator providing Internet backbone connectivity and solutions to ISPs since July 2000. Before that, from July 1995 to July 2000, Mr. Gissin was vice president, business development of Eurocom Communications Ltd., a holding company that owns stock in several telecommunications services, equipment and Internet companies in Israel and elsewhere.

Allen Karp, Q.C.

Director since October 2005

Mr. Karp, age 65, has been with Cineplex Odeon Corporation since 1986 and was Chairman until 2004. From 1966 until 1986, he was a partner in the law firm of Goodman and Carr LLP. Mr. Karp also sits on the Boards of Directors of Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., where he sits on its executive, governance and human resources and compensation committees, Teknion Corporation, where he is lead director and sits on all major committees and the Toronto International Film Festival Group where he is the chairman and a member of all major committees. He is a Trustee of Royal LePage Franchise Services Fund and a director of its management company, the chair of its corporate governance committee and a member of its audit committee. Mr. Karp is also a Trustee of the IBI Group and sits on its audit committee.

Eugene Fiume

Director since June 2005

Mr. Fiume, age 47, is Professor (since 1995) and past Chair (1998-2004) of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where he also co-directs the Dynamic Graphics Project. Mr. Fiume's industrial activities include board positions with Scientific Advisory Board of GMD, Germany, Max-Planck Center for Visual Computing and Communication, TrueSpectra, Inc., Communications and Information Technology Ontario (CITO), the Advisory Boards of CastleHill Ventures, PlateSpin, BitFlash, TrueSpectra, OctigaBay Systems and NGRAIN Corporation; and the Executive Advisory Board of the IBM Lab in Toronto. Mr. Fiume also works with venture capital companies and SMEs on due diligence and strategy.

Jeffrey Schwartz

Director since June 2005

Jeffrey Schwartz, age 42, was originally Vice President of the Juvenile Division of Dorel Industries, a global manufacturer of consumer products. Mr. Schwartz held this position until 1989, when the Company's Canadian divisions were merged and he became Vice-President, Finance of the Company. Mr. Schwartz held the position of Vice-President, Finance from 1989 until 2003. In 2003, his title was changed to Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Schwartz is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal in the field of business demonstration.

Lloyd Morrisett

Director since February 1994

Dr. Morrisett, age 72, served as a director of Infonautics beginning in February 1994 and served as chairman of the board of directors beginning in March 1998 until the merger in August 2001. He is the co-founder of the Children's Television Workshop - now Sesame Workshop - and served from 1969 to 1998 as president of The Markle Foundation, a charitable organization.

Stanley Stern

Chairman of the board of directors since August 2001

Mr. Stern, age 47, has been a managing director and head of investment banking with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., an investment banking firm, since April 2004. From February 2002 to March 2004, Mr. Stern served as a managing director and head of investment with C.E. Unterberg, Towbin, an investment banking firm. From January 2000 to February 2002, Mr. Stern served as managing director of STI Ventures Advisory USA Inc. and as a member of the board of directors and the investment committee of STI Ventures, a venture capital company focusing on the high technology market. From 1990 until he joined STI Ventures, Mr. Stern served as a managing director of CIBC Oppenheimer, a financial services company.
